That sleepover that's all Jane's fault

[Sleepovers were not Elektra's thing. She could take part in some fancy, overrated ball anyone who was anyone would attend in her family's hotel easily. Funnily enough normal things like this escaped her. It happened when one grew up with an overprotective father who valued education over social calls with other girls her age.

Elektra could fake her way through it and so she did. She got her cook to make a wide array of food for her guests (notably some cupcakes for a certain thunder god), bought a wide variety DVDs, and made sure the staff knew to make themselves scarce until she called for one of them. Now to just wait for the guests and hope for the best.]

[Exactly what it says on the tin. A member of her staff will probably take any coats or items you have on you to set in one of the many guest rooms. If you're wondering what the house looks like? Think white walls and dark hardwood floors. Any decorations around the house are clearly Grecian.

Elektra for her part will be wearing what she thinks is a casual red dress and high heels while saying hello to anyone. Feel free to jump all over everyone's threads.]

[Ariadne arrives and mentally notes that her worldhopping deviced yet again works for a place that isn't Camelot.

But she slaps on a smile when greeted by Elektra.]

You know I think this is the first time I've had you here.

[oh this was quite fancy and all thor was really wearing was a flannel shirt with a teeshirt underneath and low rise (really normal rise but how do you dress a giant). before, he'd move with confidence of an asgardian prince, but an asgardian and a prince he was no more so thor actually felt out of place.

[the classy brother is wearing a suit (and a scarf, duh) because he actually apparently figured out how to dress on Midgard. Gold stars for Loki.

Unfortunately, he's also kind of a fish out of water especially since he wasn't invited at all except that Thor was like HEY LET'S GO DO THIS and he was like hargle bargle okay. this is an accurate description of what transpired. promise.

[You know those ridiculous finger foods they serve at fancy parties? They're all here along with some gourmet cupcakes. There is one plate set aside from the rest that will have a little note by them though!

Jane thought you deserved a reward for you know what. All of these are yours.

Of course if none of this satisfies you, the cook will magically appear and make whatever you want them to assuming it exists on Earth and is within a certain reason.

Hint: Don't order a boar over a campfire, Thor. The cook will tattle on you to Elektra.]

Entertainment Room

[If you snoop hard enough there's actually more than one of these in the home. Jane would know. This one has been specifically set aside for the purposes of the sleepover!

There is one main television for movies or whatever else you'd like to watch on it. Along with a three smaller ones for if no one can agree. Yeah she thought that far ahead.

Speaking of movies, Elektra has a large variety of movies to sort through. Suspiciously all the ones that aren't martial art movies look brand new. There's really no rhyme or reason to the newer movie selections. They can be anything from The Little Mermaid to the first Saw movie. Just take a pick.]

[yeah he has no idea what dvds are but he's looking at the synopses of romcoms WHY DO THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME. WHY IS THE SAME BLOND WOMAN IN ALL OF THESE MOVIES.

[Darcy is curious as to what has Loki's attention, and takes a peek. It only takes a second for her to let out a terribly girly scream.]

Guest rooms

[Want some privacy? Need to grab some things? Enjoy a late night talk? Or do you just want to jump on the amazing beds? Here's the place. Just have at it.]

[Having spent a good amount of time with the others, Ariadne still can't help feeling a bit distant. So in order not to be a total downer to the party she escapes to the guest rooms. She finds a particularly nice one and promptly flops down on the bed.

She sighs heavily and stares up at the ceiling.]

[ She just wanted to take a second to dramatically plop on one of the beds and once again enjoy the fact that the beds in Elektra's house are more comfortable and expensive than her RV's. Just. Sigh.

Oh Egyptian cotton sheets. She missed you. ]

[Somehow Elektra isn't surprised to find Jane appreciating the beds. She smiles from the door and waves.]

[ Passing through the hall-- oh hey is Thor in that one. ] You look like you got lost.

[pretend this is a really thoughtful prose piece examining his life and his choices and wondering why he's chillin with mortals instead of getting on with the Plan To Make Father Love Me, Make Thor Look Like An Idiot, And Generally Garner The Favors Of Asgard. It would read something along the lines of:

It was strange, being here, amongst Thor's friends. How quickly he had found them, gathered them to him as he had in what now seemed like a previous life in Asgard. They were always Thor's friends - which was why he knew they plotted to bring him home. Sif most of all, not even caring to hide her anger in front of her King. But to her he'd never really be that, would he? Not while Thor lived, not while the Allfather slept.

But stranger still was being amongst these people and pretending along with all of it. It was one thing to show up and lie to Thor, but another to spend time with him. Not that lying was difficult, but rather that there was something not quite guilty about it, but unsettling. Uncomfortable. And although he would rather be at home in Asgard, at least getting to have this moment to drop pretense and actually think without the others around was still nice.

There was much to be done, still. He was just wasting time visiting, playing at these things with the others. He shouldn't have come at all, he thinks, but it's too late to change that now.

So, yeah, imagine that I wrote something like that! Naturally it has absolutely no bearing on whatever you're going to reply but feel free to interrupt his ruminations or whatever.]

[while i wish i could be as eloquent, should i write about thor wandering around looking for jane so that he could man up and tell her things, but he wasn't.

thor was currently lost in elektra's house. at first he tried to find elektra, and that failed and well now he was here.

[Fun fact about being the host is that you can just show up anywhere you want at any time. Okay really Elektra was just checking on everyone. She's essentially let a giant, ancient five year old in the house and an air head who brought a tazer with her everywhere. It's become a necessity at this point to know where everyone was at all times. That means even the well behaved guests aren't spared. To be fair, he had it coming if the only thing he could think to do was brood in her guest room alone.

All this rambling leads to her hanging out by the door frame. She's casually waving to get his attention.]

So do you normally sit alone at parties or is this the exception?

Training Room

[Here's the thing: you're not actually supposed to be in here. If you linger too long and Elektra doesn't catch you first, odds are the staff will find you and shoo you away. Until then, there's a ridiculous amount of hand to hand weapons here to play with. You will find swords from all around the world, staffs, throwing stars, knives, and targets to practice with.

Her trademark Sais are around too if you're feeling brave. Keyword there is brave. She will not be happy with anyone touching those.]

[how odd a place this was indeed. thor had wandered in there because thor was thor and even now didn't quite understand the concept of other people's privacy. he had known about her father's death, he didn't know that she had gone so far.

grabbing a sword, thor goes through the motions of what it was like to be a warrior. before the hammer, before being cast out, when he and loki would just go and create mischief. it seems like another life.]

[Elektra slips into the room quietly. She had a feeling Thor may wander if she didn't keep an eye on him. With the new skill she had been working on in secret with Stick it wasn't hard to locate him.]

Impressive but, I didn't expect anything less from you. [A smile.] I'm guessing you didn't know this room was off limits.

[nothing is more entertaining than exploring, right? and okay he may have made that big deal to thor about not going to people's houses without saying you're going, but once you're there, no harm, no foul, right? Walking around to check things out is perfectly normal. Totally.

The truth was, he mostly just wanted some space for a bit. He still wasn't entirely sure why he had decided to accompany Thor, (keeping up appearances was one thing, but...) and like old times had found himself ever in the company of Thor's friends. Quaint, right? Or not. At least, not now that things were so complex.

Eventually, he stumbles across her training room. thor had definitely said something about her being like Sif when they had met, but this was rather impressive. He wasn't going to mess with anything (Loki? Mess with things? Never) but looking couldn't hurt, right?]
